People always ask me, “When should we book birth education?”
And the truth is, there isn’t a magic week or perfect window where it suddenly becomes “better.” If you’re thinking about it- if you’re feeling that pull to understand more, to feel prepared, to empower yourself and your partner for a positive birth, then your time for birth education is now.
But here’s the part I always emphasise
If you’re 32, 35, even 38 weeks, you haven’t missed anything. Birth education isn’t a deadline. It’s a support system.
I’ve taught parents who started early and parents who started right before labour, and the transformation still happens. The softening. The confidence. The “ohhh, this makes sense now.”
Because The Empowered Birth Method isn’t about memorising facts — it’s about settling your nervous system, understanding your options, learning how to work with your body instead of against it, and giving your partner the tools to support you with confidence.
So when is the best time to book?
There is a sweet spot for most people, usually around 20–30 weeks.
You’re far enough along to feel connected to your pregnancy, but early enough that you’re not rushing or overwhelmed. You have time to practise, time to integrate, time to ask questions that are specific to your birth, not just birth in general.
But the truth is, the “best time” isn’t a week number. It’s whenever you feel that little nudge inside you saying:
“I want more than Google.”
“I want to understand what’s happening in my body.”
“I want my partner to feel confident, not helpless.”
“I want to walk into birth feeling supported, not scared.”
If that moment is now, I’d love to support you.
